LIBERTY, Mo., Jan. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ferrellgas (NYSE: FGP)
announced today that it has acquired the assets of Aeropres Propane, Inc. of
Bossier City, Louisiana.
The acquisition brings Kansas City-based Ferrellgas more than 20,000
customers in Arkansas and Louisiana and adds approximately 9 million gallons
to the company's annual retail sales. Ferrellgas has offered employment to all
75 employees at Aeropres' 13 local service centers.
Aeropres Propane is a division of Aeropres Corporation, the largest
supplier of aerosol propellants in North America. Aeropres Propane is the
largest independently owned propane company in Arkansas and Louisiana and the
32nd largest company in the retail propane industry.
The acquisition was completed on December 31, 2003, and is Ferrellgas'
64th since its initial public offering in 1994.
