LIBERTY, Mo., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Ferrellgas Partners, L.P.
(NYSE: FGP), the nation's largest retail marketer of propane, today announced
the resignation of Danley K. Sheldon as president and chief executive officer.
The company's board of directors has named James E. Ferrell, chairman and
founder of the company, to serve as president and chief executive officer.
Sheldon was named president in 1996 and chief executive officer in 1998,
positions previously held by Mr. Ferrell.

"His leadership was important as we introduced an employee stock ownership
plan in 1998 and as we completed our largest acquisition, Thermogas, during
this last year."
